Dina & Brannum Part 2: SURPRISE Union Square Cafe Wedding in NYC
I love New York I love New York I love New York. Only in a city THIS cool can you pull off a day like this. I’ll paint the picture. Dina & Brannum didn’t want to wait a full year to have their wedding. SO…they invited about 100 of their closest friends and family to an engagement party at their most favorite neighborhood date spot, Union Square Cafe. Halfway through cocktail hour we changed the music, Dina snuck off to change her outfit and then with a big music change, Brannum took his place in the middle of the restaurant staircase as Dina walked down the stairs, escorted by her dad. The exchanged vows as their guests learned they were attending the wedding. It was awesome. They followed the exchange of vows with an amazing four course dinner featuring all of their favorite bites, live music, dancing, and so much love. Even an afterparty at Pete’s Tavern. And because this couple is so super sneeky and cool, they actually had already formally gotten married at City Hall the week prior (See: Dina & Brannum Part 1) so that their Union Square Cafe Wedding could be that much more relaxed. The day started with a first look on the roof of the couple’s apartment followed by running around the city for photos in an attempt to beat the 4:30PM November sunset. Enjoy waaaaay too many pics of this incredible day because the work of the amazing Sarah Lockhart Photography is too good for me to narrow down. Not pictured: a hilarious run-in where I glanced up from my clipboard to tell the lovely woman standing next ot me at the hotel where Dina was getting ready that I liked her haircut…”It’s like you have Meg Ryan hair” I said to….spoiler alert….Meg Ryan. Whoops. Only in New York!
