Modern Vibes at this Institue of Contemporary Art Wedding

I’ve been DYING for a wedding at the ICA Boston…..waterfront ceremonies, floor to ceiling glass windows, captivating artwork, all wrapped into a world class venue that with boasts international architectural icon status. Cat & Kevin were the answer to my prayers….a couple and fun and cool as this venue? Sign me up. We had a blast and laughed a LOT during the planning. I am obsessed with how it all came out. Ceremony overlooking the water with lush and textural greens, a cocktail hour on the patio, dinner on the stage surrounded by gorgeous twinkling lights and floating orbs, and a killer dance party in the lobby. The murals change periodically in the lobby, so it was an extra wink for us that the artwork put into place on the lobby walls just prior to the wedding happened to be street art vibes complete with a giant boom box…we couldn’t have commissioned something more fitting. And the REAL icing on this cake? The Capt Jack Sparrow character actor who happened to be walking along the harbor walk during the ceremony and then planted himself behind the couple to hold back all other passers-by so they couldn’t walk behind the bride & groom. Honestly, if i ever had a tough day I just look at the pics he is photobombing and crack up. Only in Boston…
