Enchanting Backyard Wedding En Plein Air
Alright- confession time. Did something this summer I NEVER thought I would do…..I went TOPLESS! For M&N’s wedding at their incredibly special private residence, our team worked with the client and made the call to completely CUT the tents the week prior to the wedding. We knew the forecast could change at a moment’s notice (this is New England after all), but we took a leap of faith and decided to create an al fresco dining situation and allow the property to truly sing without the tented structures to distract. This decision still gives the planner in me the hives- if the forecast had changed the day before the wedding there would have been no time to get the tents into place, nor would there have been any other back up plan for dinner for 100 guests, but with the help of an all-star vendor team we made the call to go for it and these pictures from the incredible Amanda Crean Photography tell the story of how magical it turned out. There is NOTHING simple about a backyard wedding (probably one of the biggest myths in the business), but there is something so beautiful about getting ready in your home and celebrating in this place with all of loved ones, fur babies included! This stunnner of a wedding included a ceremony with mountain views, cocktails around the pool, bar and lounge in the greenhouse, dinner under the stars, dancing in the barn, and a fireworks show to end the night with a bang. So grateful to this couple for letting me be a part of making this magic.
